How to Play

Everything you need to master Blade Rush — read top to bottom.

Step 01

The core loop

Move, let your blades work, grow — then repeat.

  1. 🕹️Move & aimDrag the screen, move the mouse, or use WASD / arrow keys to steer your hero.
  2. ⚔️Blades auto-attackYour spinning ring of blades shreds nearby enemies automatically — no shooting needed.
  3. 💥Crush the hordeEvery kill grants score, power, and XP all at once.
  4. 📈Grow strongerSpend gates to add blades, then repeat — a bigger ring means a deadlier hero.
Step 02

Power & gates

Gates are how you scale. Chase them constantly.

  1. ➕+N gateRun through it to ADD N blades to your ring.
  2. ✖️×N gateMULTIPLIES your blade count — always aim for the big one.
  3. 🌀Bigger ringMore power = more blades, faster spin, wider reach.
  4. 🗡️More damagePower also raises each blade's damage. A large ring = a strong hero.
Step 03

Leveling up

Kills fuel XP; each level lets you build your run.

  1. ⭐Collect XPKills (+1) and bosses (+8) fill the XP bar under your health.
  2. ⬆️Level upWhen the bar fills, you level up and the game pauses for a choice.
  3. 🎁Choose an upgradePick 1 of 3: sword damage, extra blades, spin speed, lifesteal, burn / frost / venom, HP, and more.
  4. 🧱Stack your buildUpgrades stack across the whole run — craft your favorite combo.
Step 04

Hero evolution & transform

Your hero visibly transforms as your score climbs.

  1. 🏆Score raises your tierThe higher your score, the more your hero gradually transforms into fiercer forms.
  2. 🛡️Pick a hero (Codex)Open the Codex and tap any discovered hero to start as it every run.
  3. ♾️Auto modeWithout a pick you start humble and evolve automatically with your score.

Step 05

Skills & ultimate

Tap a skill button in the HUD; each has a cooldown.

  1. 🌪️Blade FuryA burst of spin speed — shred everything faster for a moment.
  2. 💥ShockwaveA ring of force blasts outward, damaging every enemy around you.
  3. ⚡DashLunge quickly to escape a swarm or dodge a boss attack.
  4. 🌟Divine ultimateDivine-tier heroes unlock a devastating, one-of-a-kind 4th skill.
Step 06

Bosses & Boss Rush

Milestone fights — and the endgame gauntlet.

  1. 👹A boss arrivesPeriodically a giant boss appears with meteor and projectile attacks.
  2. 🎁Defeat the bossA downed boss drops big score + an epic chest. A red arrow points to it off-screen.
  3. ☠️Boss Rush (Lvl 10)At level 10 the horde stops — bosses arrive in waves: one lead boss plus escorts.
  4. 🌊Waves get harderStarts at 5 bosses, +1 every 2 waves (max 10), and +20% HP each wave cleared.
Step 07

The battlefield

You share a big open world with rivals and hazards.

  1. 🤝AI heroesRival heroes roam and fight too. Out-duel or absorb them to grow.
  2. 🏅Live rankingA leaderboard shows your rank (#) among every hero in the world.
  3. 🪨ObstaclesBoulders and pillars block movement — use them to break line of sight.
  4. ❤️Hearts & chestsGrab hearts to heal; open chests for power bonuses.

Quick tips

Small habits that win runs.

  • Always chase ×N gates — multiplying beats adding.
  • Keep moving; a stationary hero gets surrounded.
  • Save your dash for boss meteors and dense swarms.
  • Grab hearts before you're critical, not after.
